Descripción
Under the direction of TTL Supervisor performs laboratory analysis, evaluates and prepares reagents, standards and/or controls according to established criteria and adherence with GMP and ISO guidelines. Demonstrate ability to interpret and validate results. Identify problems and troubleshot assays.
Responsabilidades
- Prepares buffers and other reagents according to standardized procedures.
- Performs all accessioning/specimen processing duties. Sorts and stores samples as required.
- Maintain and monitor Tecate testing lab equipment and facilities according to standardized procedures. As well as cleaning equipment and facilities according to procedures to maintain established environmental ranges.
- Monitors required equipment’s calibration and maintenance.
- Observes all established safety precautions including handling of specimens as biohazardous (universal precautions).
- Identifies and resolves equipment related problems.
- Inventories and orders reagents, requires chemicals and supplies as needed.
- Prepares and files necessary paperwork.
- Perform assay validations as required.
- Performs and documents quality control for reagents and assays.
- Performs laboratory mouse testing and routine analysis per SOP, using standards, controls, and samples.
- Performs antibody quantification under validated procedures.
- Performs antibody detection under validated procedures.
- Performs devices functionality testing under validated procedures.
- Performs parasitological mouse test per SOP.
- Qualifies and maintain microbiologic media.
- Administers the Tecate environmental monitoring program by scheduling routine, sampling and its timely reporting.
- Coordinates the DI water monitoring programs.
- Coordinates the Breeding water monitoring programs.
- Coordinate calibrations with SLI QA/QC to schedule, perform or send out equipment for calibration to outside vendors.
- Assist in identifying and revising outdated established procedures and assist with revision of established procedures.
- Evaluates and understands test results according to Quality Controls Specifications and pursues clarification of unusual results.
- Prepares lab results and summaries of testing for supervisor review
- Enters and analyzes data related to all aspects of ascites/supernatant production.
- Maintains and clean and organizer work environment.
- Stores specimens and reagents in accordance to proper specifications.
- Participate in equipment qualification protocols design as well as the validation of new assay.
- Execute assay validations as required
Requisitos
- BS Degree (chemist, biology or science related)
- Tree (3) years prior clinical laboratory experience
- Good organizational skills and manual dexterity
- Ability to operate and calibrate laboratory instrumentation
- Proficient and knowledgeable with aseptic techniques
- Detail oriented
- Strong analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Bilingual English-Spanish 85%
