The Business Development representative will help drive our sales reaching the company's sales targets and logistics goals to grow the business. This position will attract new clients.
To define logistics objectives and schedules, create guidelines and product roadmaps, conduct market research and analysis, collaborate with external business partners, and formulate strategies for fostering strong client relationships.
Accountable for representing Scantibodies in a professional and ethical manner in front of all personnel, managers, customers, personalities, and government representatives, as well as being a messenger for our company's vision and mission.
Responsible for developing marketing business plans related to identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities for our company's logistic division. Set up Import/Export Commercial Operations for our Current and Future needs.
- Visit Customers as necessary to develop new business and improve current operations.
- Responsible for all Tours and Customer interactions for Logistics and Warehouse Business.
- Coordinate and expedite Quotations for Logistics and Warehouse Business.
- Develop and nurture the Mission and Vision for our Logistics and Warehousing Division.
- From the Mission and Vision develop the Goals, Objectives, Strategies and Tactics to achieve The Mission.
- Monitor the sales funnel progress and adjust as necessary.
- Develop a Price list for Services for Warehousing, Logistics, and Section 321 etc.
- Have a good knowledge in critical company products and their usages.
- Adherence to company policies on all paperwork; i.e. expense reports, time off requests, performance reviews.
- Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
- Understand customer needs and able to provide suggestions to meet their requirement.
- Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analyzing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
- Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
- May perform other job related duties as assigned. Develop, Support and expand the relationships with Mexican & US Customs.
- Responsible for scheduling all trucking operations in Mexico and USA.
- Work with Sagarpa and USDA for import and export.
- Work with COFEPRIS on Medical Product importations and exportations.
- Need recommendations and prioritization of items, ideas, etc. that are needed from Scantibodies to Begin, Develop, Grow and Expand the Logistics and Warehouse Operations.
- Create potential leads to evaluate for Logistics and Warehouse Business Development.
- The position is a “Hand’s On Job” it is based in Mexico but requires frequent trips to USA to support the Logistics and Warehousing Operations.
- An individual weekly meeting with each Direct Report reviewing their Project Lists is required as well as a Daily Team Meeting with Direct Reports and relevant staff reviewing Project Lists.
- Communication is key. Aggressively trouble shoot and challenges or issues and utilize the Corrective and Preventative Action, CAPA, procedure to correct and prevent future occurrences.
- Provide excellent Customer Service by returning all calls and emails the same day as received.
- Provide Quotations within 2 business days.
- Maintain a clear understanding and current situation of all pricing in the sector for Logistics and Warehousing Operations.
- Bachelors Degree.
- 2-4 year relevant work experience in sales or business development, particularly in field sales.
- English 90 %
- Experience visiting maquiladoras, a background in medical maquiladoras would be preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Friendly and personable demeanor. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
