We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team.
The Senior Cost Accountant position requires a minimum of 5+ years of costing and inventory accounting/analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate is a technical thinker who has ability to transfer details into the big picture with focusing on process improvement. Previous experience in the high volume manufacturing cost accounting is a MUST.
- Assists in developing standard cost and labor and overhead rates
- Performs analysis of product and project costs including material variances and labor efficiencies
- Performs physical inventory count reconciliations
- Assists in month end general ledger close and prepare journal entries
- Assists in the preparation of budget, forecast and variance analysis
- Develops process improvements and/or procedural controls
- Assists in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reporting
- Supports financial reviews and audits conducted by independent auditors
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. This may include duties in another department or outside your normal scope of work.
Job Specifications:
- 5-10+ years standard Cost Accounting/Analysis experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
- Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables and v lookups
